I’m sold!

VirtaPay

We where very optimistic when it started.
First it was a fantastic opportunity, a big bank entering the payment processor market. It was totally FREE to join and you where rewarded generously with their virtual dollars just for logging in and performing some simple tasks like voting on different things.

Then we hesitated for a while.
Then it was obvious that it wasn’t at big bank behind, and people started to speculate. How could they let you build such huge $1,000 balances totally FREE in a short period of time. Even if we are talking virtual dollars, it sound huge. It just have to be a scam. There was a lot of speculations around that for a long time. But they survived and kept going for almost a year.

Out of pure curiosity, we hanged on.
During that time many have speculated about their real purpose with the operation. We have seen them starting pathetic trade where the users can buy stupid things for their virtual dollars. Those who have been with them during this last year should have a balance of nearly 10,000 virtual dollars. No one knows the value of the VP $, but people seems to hold on to them and they log in regularly to earn more.

We blogged a lot about this.
If you read our last post before this in this blog, you know that interesting things are going on. Last Wednesday we learned that their API, Application Programmers Interface, will launch as soon as the beginning of December, in a few weeks that is. I’m really looking forward to that launch because there are some very interesting aspects on this.

It start to be interesting, really cool.
We suppose that you by now have figured out that it is VirtaPay we talk about and they should by now have around 200,000 users and we would expect it to increase quite fast. Many of those users try to build huge virtual dollar balances they can hold on to in case the virtual dollars get some kind of value in the future. So they are eager to get more quickly. VP launches an API that makes it possible for you install smart VP $ solutions on your web sites, blogs or fan pages. Tell me if that isn’t cool!

Now its really hot!!!
One possible application of this is the following: Assume you have a balance of VP $10,000 and you on your Facebook fan page offers people VP $100 if they like your fan page and join VP free using your link. You can have an alternative for those who already are members, they can earn VP $100 if they like your fan page and tell a friend about your fan page. Your balance of VP $ 10,000 would last for 100 such transactions. They should take some time and during this time you should be able to earn another VP $10,000. You can earn up to VP $ 100 a day just for logging in and using their services often and you earn VP $25 for each new free member you recruit. This would be a very effective ongoing viral lead capturing system, because you can pay them using their email address.

Why don’t check out this yourself if you haven’t yet.
If you are just a little innovative yourself, you can figure out maybe ten or twenty other great applications like the one above and VP could be a real hot place where a lot of people can build their business totally free. We really don’t know VP’s purpose with their business, but they have on their blog, that you can get access to if you join free here, stated several times that they aim at a couple of million users and that will take at least one year from now. Therefor you can expect to have tis service available a year or so.

This is something We believe you want to keep an eye on. It’s totally free to join so take action now.

Is It Okay To Change Point Of View?

VirtaPay

We haven’t updated this blog as we should in a years time so in order to make up for that we will move some of the treads on our main blog over to this one. The first one we will move over here is about Paybox.me that later changed to VirtaPay.com.

This website showed up on the net albout one year ago. They acted in a way that one thought it was a bank trying to open up a payment processing service to compete with PayPal, Flagship Merchant Service, Intuit Merchant Services and many other big payment processing services. After a while we realized that it wasn’t a big bank behind, it was something else and we thought it was a scam.

This are the blog posts on that subject so far on our main blog:

If you followed tis thread you noticed how we got from interest to disappointment. In the last post we could see some interesting development of the site but we where still negative. We are still disturbed by the selection of Clickbank products they use in their affiliate marketing project they call Ad Sharing, this video explains . Maybe its okay though, they have selected the most popular ones the problem is that the most popular ones is mostly crap that you want to stay away from.

Apart from this, a lot of interesting things has happened over at Virtapay recently. It looks like they are earning a lot of money on the Ad Sharing project and we think that this is kind of a guarantee that they don’t do some nasty stuff, which would certainly put an end to all of it. They now claim they have 150,000 members which could very well be the case. Early this spring they had 100,000 members but we think recruiting almost stopped after the buzz about scam. We have seen a lot of promotions for them lately so they are maybe moving again.

Last spring when we realized that they where not what we thought, we decided though to stay as a member, but not promoting, in order to keep our account active, we log in now and then to read their blog and see where they are going. This activity has during some ten month made us a balance of 8,800 virtual dollars. They are at the moment almost worthless but if you log in and read their four or five latest blog posts, you will see that they are planing things that can add some value to the quite substantial virtual dollar balances people have created free just by logging in and checked their blog a couple of times a week.

They will take measures so that you also can use virtual dollars outside VirtaPay. They can be used in online games for instance. And we are sure when they make this possible there are people that come up with really creative ideas. Very recently they added a premium membership. Everyone that joined their Ad Sharing program automatically become premium members. Although we didn’t want to participate int the Ad Sharing program we joined just to be able to get all the new information. We are really curious. We found a cheap Clickbank product we purchased with the VirtaPay affiliate link, thats all. Luckily these popular products are priced very low to attract buyers and then when you purchased the initial one there is an up-sell with the real thing. To qualify you only need to purchase the initial one. Remember that if you at first try to leave the sales page there often is a $10 discount offered so you can do this really cheap if you want.

The most interesting project on the way is the API, Application Programmer Interface, which makes it possible to integrate VirtaPay in your site, blog or even Facebook fan page. Yo can give people 50 to 100 virtual dollars to like your fan page for instance. They will also soon allow exchange services so that you easily can change your VirtaPay dollars to US$ or any other currency you like.

I think its time to start looking more closely at VirtaPay. Allthe new projects they mention in a video and on their blog makes it interesting. Wouldn’t you like to have a lot of their 150,000 and increasing members in your list? Its possible if you start working on it now. Just by sign up FREE you can learn more.

How to easily get you a second pay check

You are here reading this because you want to use the net to get you a second pay check right? To have success in that requires that people think that you have something to say which can be beneficial for them; in other words you must be an authority. You also need to expose yourself to a lot of people so they can be aware of you as an authority and want to find out what you have to say.

Earlier it was a very long and complicated process to become an authority but now with the help of social media it can be done quite easily in a couple of month if you know how to do it.

You should use Facebook and Twitter for this purpose.

Facebook is the most powerful platform that will give you the tools you need to create tons of free targeted web traffic to a website or blog of yours. You must quickly get hundreds or thousands of Facebook friends interested in the niche you are going to operate in. This means that you have to approach people you don’t know and ask them to be your friends so that you can know them better. That is considered spam in the Facebook community. Here is where Twitter comes in handy.

Twitter is a very easy and friendly community where you can get your followers very easy. You just find someone who is an authority in your niche of interest and follow as many of his/her followers as you can. About 40% will follow you back automatically. There is a free program that takes care of that. If you have signed up with this free program you can automatically send a direct message (DM) to every one who follows you with an invitation to be your Facebook friend along with a link for that purpose. My experience so far is that about 10% will use your link to request your friendship. The metrics tell us that if you follow 100 Twitter users this way (takes about 10 minutes) it will result in 4 Facebook friends.

Today I am a Twitter authority with 40,000+ followers but unfortunately it’s quite recently I found out that building a Twitter Profile should be combined with building Facebook friendships. Otherwise I would have some 4,000 Facebook friends today. They have a maximum limit of 5,000 friends. I will continue to build and it won’t take long until you will see me as a Facebook authority as well.

When you are an authority in Twitter and as well in Facebook, the market is wide open to you and you can start to cash in those second pay checks you always dreamed about. Keep your eyes open for the articles about how to use the power you have achieved as a Facebook authority; they will be published soon here.

Do you want to get more details about this? Go here!

A piece of paper ripped off from a newspaper

Do your send your invitations on a piece of paper ripped off from a newspaper? I suppose not. Why ask such a question, you may think. This struck me several times when I was searching about people who are looking for web hosting on Twitter. Many of them wanted to know where to find free web hosting.

To use free web hosting is like sending out invitations on a piece of paper ripped off from a newspaper.

If you only want to set up a very basic web site, no advanced scripts, just a basic site, there are only one company you should consider, Global Domain International (GDI).

They have been on the Internet for more than 10 years and they give you a lot for measly $10 a month.
• A domain name.
• A hosting account where you can host ten web pages under your host name.
• Ten email addresses that you fully control based on your domain.

You also get a very good business opportunity with a very generous payment plan. Every month you get one dollar from each active subscriber you recruit five generations deep. If you become a very good recruiter, and you keep your account in good standing, you get a $100 bonus on each five subscribers you bring in each week.

Even if you don’t recruit a single subscriber I think the cost of $10 a month is a very good deal. Why? GDI are a stable company with a very good reputation. They have a very responsive and friendly customer support. The most important thing is that they know business and offering a system devoted to business.

Recently they added a premium membership for $40 a month in addition to the general membership. It gives you possibility to increase your earnings dramatically and they also send you people who signed up for a test drive. A couple of weeks ago I got five new prospects through gditraffic. One of them signed up as a premium member.

I have used around ten web hosts during my years on Internet and I know that if you run into a web host that concentrate only on hosting you run into problems. A good web host must understand business.

The only low budget alternative for a web host I can think of is GDI. You will find them here.

Put an end to your struggle!

If you’re looking to make money online, there’s a whole bunch of stuff you need to know before you can make that first dollar materialize into your account. When I first started out I had absolutely no clue as to what needed to be done, or if I was even doing it right. I ended up purchasing tons and tons of crap that I thought would jumpstart my online-moneymaking-career… only to find out that I was spending more money than I was making any!

It was only recently that I discovered Newbie Workbook. At first glance, I thought it was yet another one of those guides that rehashed old information, full of useless information that you could never really act on. But I must say that after giving it a try, I was quite surprised. Why? I’ll tell you in a bit.

So here’s how Newbie Workbook works: It’s a step-by-step, day-by-day guide on how you can make money online. I’m not kidding. The book literally lists down EVERYTHING that needs to be done, step-by-step, day-by-day, for a whole month. Depends on how you look at it, what it really is at the end of the day is a virtual blueprint that prides itself on its effectiveness at generating passive income by leveraging on the Internet Marketing trend.
But does it really work?

Newbie Workbook is really written for newbies who have absolutely no idea where to start in their Internet Marketing efforts. Unlike most guides out there, Newbie Workbook doesn’t hold anything back, and whether it’s starting out with your first affiliate product or outsourcing work to make your marketing efforts practically effortless, you’ll find it all in this extremely comprehensive guide.

Now, once it explains everything you need to do, it doesn’t leave you hanging with the information you’ve just learned. What I hate about most guides is that they teach you what you need to know, but if they don’t hold back certain key information, they don’t reinforce the lessons you’ve just learned. What makes Newbie Workbook different is that they basically go, “Look, here’s what you learned. Now you need to apply it, and I’m going to be here every step of the way to make sure you get it right and that you make your first buck.”

The first half of Newbie Workbook tells all you’ll need to know before you get started, like what needs to be done when choosing a product on Clickbank to be an affiliate of, keyword research, how you can get started on landing pages, article writing, and finally how you can put everything you’ve learned into one seamless process that gets the cash flowing in.

Unlike a lot of the fancier-named guides out there, this book doesn’t need to be fancy or even pretend to be fancy. Newbie Workbook is what it says it is. It’s a WORKbook, which means that it really puts you to work, but with the step-by-step instructions you won’t even feel you’re working. The second half of Newbie Workbook is literally a checklist of the things you need to do, based on what you’ve learned in the first half.

By the time you’re through with the checklist, you’ll feel as though you’ve accomplished something, and that sense of satisfaction is more than enough to get you through another day of money-making.

But the Newbie Workbook doesn’t consist of just the awesome workbook alone. Bundled together with the comprehensive guide are another 2 guides (“More Subscribers Fast” and “Backend Profit Code”) that can get you massive profits effortlessly by teaching you how to generate email leads in the quickest, best possible ways, and ways you can make even more money with a backend product.

Also included is a brainwave entrainment MP3 that boosts your concentration, so that you can remain focused on the tasks you need to accomplish in your money-making efforts.
Overall I think Newbie Workbook makes for a great package for any newbie marketer starting out in the business. I only wish that it was available when I was first starting out. It would have saved me a ton of money, not to mention make me tons of money.

Some more helpful tips for Twitter marketers

This is post #8 in our series about our Twitter project. If you haven’t seen some of the former posts, you can find them here:

Post #1:    Post #2:    Post #3:    Post #4:    Post #5:    Post #6:    Post #7:

As you certainly know by now, we are experimenting with Twitter to see how you can use it as a marketing tool. Until now we have tried to balance the edge and we have been in the gray zoon almost touching the forbidden actions. I fully understand that the Twitter guys need to have a lot of restrictions to control the use of twitter. It’s more than OK that they put the Twitter users experience first, but I don’t really understand their means all the time.

Obviously the number one goal in this is to eliminate aggressive behavior like following and unfollowing thousands of users using automation. Another thing to eliminate is to spam other users with hundreds of automated tweets every day. The word automation appears as you can see in both sentences above. And you are right; the automation has been something ugly in the eyes of the Twitter guys. If you like DELL and others are hiring hundreds of people to do the aggressive work for you it’s OK, but if you use a piece of software to do following, unfollowing and tweeting, not aggressively but gently as if you had done it manually it’s not OK. Is that to favour the big and important customers at the expense of the little guy who wants a little relief with the tidy tasks?

The last slap from Twitter was that our account is filtered out from the search. Our tweets don’t appear in the Twitter search any longer; not even our account appears there. The reason is low quality tweets. Strange enough, our followers like them and re-tweet them a lot. The only reason as we see is that some of them have been automated. We are glad our account still works so we can tweet and receive replies and direct messages. From now on we will keep a very low profile and abbey the roles carefully. We do that for three reasons; Even though we don’t understand why some (Dell and President Obama to mention a few) can do things to make the Twitter usage a little bit easier and receive special treatment, we like Twitter and think it’s a great tool for social contacts and marketing. The other reason is that our account has grown to such a size that it’s very valuable for our branding. The third reason is that we are curious to see if it is possible to recover from this situation through correct behavior and again appear in the searches like under normal conditions. The last is an important part of this project.

To sum up what we have leaned so far in our Twitter project. Don’t use automation; not even very gently as if you do it manually. It is possible to build a descent sized Twitter profile manually but it takes much longer time if you cannot afford to hire people. Your Twitter profile doesn’t have to contain so many followers either. The only positive thing with many followers is to brand your self. It’s very difficult to build a huge Twitter profile with such targeted followers that you can market only by sending out tweets. The right way to market via Twitter is to use the advanced Twitter search to find the highly targeted prospects you want to approach and nicely help them with their problem. They will of course try to find out who you are and in that case a sizable Twitter profile of a couple of thousands followers will help you. You actually don’t need more followers than that to be successful in Twitter marketing. The most important thing is that you keep your Twitter profile in good shape, tweet about interesting things and always are helpful and nice to your audience.

We now have a lot of experience

Category : Twitter

This is post #7 in our series about our Twitter project. If you haven't seen some of the former posts, you can find them here:

Post #1 Post #2 Post #3 Post #4 Post #5 Post #6

We made the first post about the Twitter project at the end of august 09 so it’s almost four months of experience we can put to use in this and coming posts. This is post # seven and if you have missed some of the six first, there are links to them above. Unless you want to learn from all the mistakes we have done on the way, you can start here because now we will try to give good advice based on what we have learned during this project.

We made four Twitter profiles (Twitter accounts) and the main account has now around 22,700 followers. The other three profiles have together about 20,000 followers. When we started this project we thought that the more followers the better it is for marketing. In hindsight this is not so obvious any longer. You need a certain number of followers to make people trust and listen to you, but that is the only reason for many followers.

When you tweet about something you get more attention and more clicks on your link the more followers you have, but we have found that such attention and clicks are not targeted enough to give you the conversion (convert prospects to customers) that you are looking for. This type of marketing has a conversion rate of 0.01% to 0.10%. Fortunately Twitter can offer you a much better way to market your product or service. You use Twitters advanced search and search on an exact phrase like “I need money”. You will then see all tweets containing that phrase and you can send them your post. It is important that it's a reply and not a direct message. People rarely pay any attention to the direct messages but they are very interested in the replies. This method has a very high conversion rate since it is much targeted. It's a little tricky to find out the best phrases but if you can rely on your imagination and practice for some time you will find this very effective.

What happens when you use this method is that the person you send your tweet to, sees your solution and they start to evaluate you, and if you have a nice profile, a descent number of followers and look trustworthy your change of success is very high. You don’t need many thousands of followers to be successful with this and it's much easier to be social, friendly and responsive if you have around 5,000 followers than if you have over 10,000. A number around 5,000 looks trustworthy enough.

It’s a lot more hard work using this method than just sending out tweets to many thousands of followers but we think it's better to work hard and get good results than do less and get very poor results. As a matter of fact it is possible to automate this method as well but I will come back to that in a later post.

What is a nice profile then you may ask? Pot some work into it and select a Twitter background of your own. It doesn’t look professional if you are just using the same as all the other Twitter users do. Have a nice picture on your profile a picture of you with your very best smile is very good; it shows that you are a nice person. A nice person is more trustworthy than a not so nice person, right? It's very important that your tweets are interesting and stand out in a way. That makes people remember you and even look out for your tweets. I like humor and decided that short humorous quotes would be something that other users would like and I think that it has been very effective. When other users mention or re-tweet you always respond with a reply where you say something like “I just visited your great blog/home page” and include the URL to their blog/home page in your reply. As you can see it's about being friendly and helpful you win the trust of your followers.

We found the Twitter tool we have been looking for

Category : Twitter

This is post #6 in our series about our Twitter project. If you haven’t seen some of the former posts, you can find them here:

Post #1:    Post #2:    Post #3:    Post #4:    Post #5:

In the last post we mentioned Army of Followers and that we found them very basic most suitable for real Twitter newbie’s that need to know what twitter is and how to register and set up a profile.

When surfing around in that site we found a few funny tools of which we are going to show you one today. It’s a Swedish developer Jonas Lejon who has put together a site he calls Tweet Value. He has tried to develop an algorithm for calculating the value of a Twitter Profile. The site doesn’t disclose anything about how the algorithm calculate the value of a profile but one can suspect that it has to do with number of followers and friends as well as the number of tweets, maybe quality of tweets and the number of responses and re-tweets. It must also be possible to consider the Google page rank for the profile in the calculation. You can try the calculator by clicking the black button to the right. I was almost chocked when I calculated the value of our main profile and found that it right now is US $ 6,400.00. The total value of our four Twitter profiles is according to Tweet Value US $ 11,801.00. We now have 17,000 followers in our main profile and 33,825 followers totally in our four profiles.

A couple of days ago I found what I have been waiting for a long time. I found a new service called Twitter Tank and I have been busy investigating it, setting up two of my profiles to test it out and started to develop some very smart tools to complement it. Twitter Tank is a very good system to put your Twitter profiles on autopilot. In this site you will find 8 quite easy to follow and very good videos describing the whole process of setting up a Twitter profile to making it a profitable business almost on autopilot. I found that it takes about one and a half hour to set up one profile and then I estimate it will take about ten to twenty minutes a day to maintain that profile. You will then have access to the site that contains many very smart tools which make your life easy maintaing your profile. Right now you can get access to the Twitter Tank system at an introductory price, a one time payment under US $ 20.00. They are very generous and will let you get all eight videos to watch before you by but I wouldn’t risk postpone the purchase of this excellent system which is a bargain at its ordinary price around US $ 77.00. This is the best purchase I have made in a long time.

Let take a look at the performance.

The software we have used so far works better than ever. Our new strategy works and as you can see from the image above, we have picked up speed again. We think that Twitter Tank and Hummingbird will be a winning combination.

We have now removed all the links to Twitter Tank since we have found that WOT (Web of Trust) has pointed out their website as unsafe. It is sad because they had some nice features in their system but we can not direct people to an unsafe site.

Almost four month into our Twitter project

Category : Twitter

This is post #5 in our series about our Twitter project. If you haven’t seen some of the former posts, you can find them here:

Post #1:    Post #2:    Post #3:    Post #4:

When we started this project, we wanted to see if we could build a huge twitter profile with tens of thousands followers in a relatively short period of time on autopilot.

The image above shows us that during the first period until the beginning of September, everything went according to the plans. We can se a significant increase in followers taking place in the middle of August when we started to use Hummingbird, very smart software that can help follow and un-follow large amounts of Twitter followers automatically. It worked fine until we got our main account suspended. We had obviously used our Hummingbird software too effectively. We luckily managed to get on speaking terms with the Twitter support guys and got our main account restored and could continue our project. The post before this one, explains how we changed our use of Hummingbird in order to stay under the radar and avoid getting our main account suspended again. This new strategy aims to, as much as possible, simulate what you can do manually without an automated software. It’s not a set and forgets strategy any longer, but still a lot easier and more effective than doing it manually.

It is possible to ad followers faster than we have done during the period from the beginning of September until now. There are mainly two reasons the increase has been unnecessary slow.

1. The Hummingbird development team released a beta test variant of Hummingbird II and in connection to that they changed both releases and recommended the users to try the beta test version. We did for a while, and found that it will probably be a fantastic tool if they manage to get everything in place and working well. Right now though, we found that it is far from ready to use so we decided to change back to Hummingbird I. We found that it wasn’t updated for some time and found that we couldn’t update it as usual. We needed to spend a lot of time in the Hummingbird forum (not around any longer) and read a lot of crap before we found out that we needed to go to a special website to reinstall Hummingbird I. Now it works better than ever and we will continue to use it according to the new strategy and we expect to increase our Twitter followers faster again.

2. We have seen that from time to time large numbers of Twitter followers disappear from our accounts. First we thought that people simply un-followed and we tried to find out what we made wrong. Then, when we spent a lot of time in the Twitter forums (not around any longer), we found out that the Twitter team from time to time runs campaigns during which they suspend thousands of Twitter accounts due to different ways of misuse. We probably had twitter spammers among our followers and friends and they disappeared when their accounts where suspended.

Today we have 15,635 followers I our main Twitter account. In this project we are building four accounts and right now the total number of followers in all four accounts is a little bit over 31,000.

We have now talked about building an account by following large number of targeted followers and hope that they will follow back. The most important aspect of building is the way you tweet with your followers and friends. Post #2 in this series covers our initial strategy for tweeting and we are constantly thinking about how to improve it even more. Until recently most of the tweets was done on auto pilot. We used a service called Twit Robot, which allowed you to put some hundred tweets in your private twitter data base and Twit Robot randomly picked tweets from your data base and posted them in your time line at a rate you had selected. One could select rates from every minute to once a day. This was a terrific service. Recently this service stopped and when we tried to log in the URL was redirected to something called “Army of Followers” (not around any longer). We tried it and found it very basic. If you are new to Twitter and want to find out the basics of using it, these videos and e-books can be of value. They also had some odd and funny tools we will cover in our next post about our Twitter project.

Our Twitter project again

This is post #4 in our series about our Twitter project. If you haven’t seen the former post, you can find it here:

Post #1:    Post #2:    Post #3:

When we was in touch with the Twitter support guys, we asked about how they look upon users cleaning (un-following those who don’t follow back) their Twitter accounts regularly. We got this answer: We really do frown on unfollowing those who don’t follow back and then following new users, as that’s a way of trying to artificially circumvent the limits on following. And this is a real problem. In our opinion this is against the main original idea with Twitter. We see Twitter as a community where you try to socialize with those who share your interest. From that perspective it is logical to get rid of those who are not interested in your tweets and don’t follow you back. So when you do what’s necessary to follow the original idea with Twitter you are actually violating rules implemented since a lot of people have miss used the system. It’s a kind of catch-22 situation.

What we have found in evaluating the Twitter support answer above is that it can be dangerous to un-follow big chunks of followers and then immediately start following thousands of new followers, especial from one single account. Un-follow in smaller amounts, like a couple of hundred followers, then allow some time to elapse before you start to follow new followers. Also make sure you follow new followers in small amounts (like a couple of hundreds) at a time and every chunk from different Twitter accounts. All this is still possible to do quite easy with our automated software Humminbird.

During the last week we lost several hundred followers from our main account, which at the beginning of the week had near 14,000 followers.

My Twitter project

The reason for this must be that we had lots of spammers among our followers and Twitter was running a campaign suspending their accounts. If you have followed this series of posts about our Twitter experiment you know that we also have tested touching the limits to the gray zone and also have been suspended. Luckily we managed to establish contact with the Twitter support guys and got our account active again. Actually, things like that has been a part of our experiment and I think that experiences from our project can be valuable reading for those who wants to create accounts with a lot of targeted followers to reach out to.

Right now we have over 14,000 followers in our main account and around 28,000 followers total in all of our four accounts.

The next post in this series is here: post #5.
